This week Democratic Candidate for Nassau Comptroller Howard Weitzman joined me in calling for debates. Piggybacking off my “Ducking Debates” initiative, Weitzman joined a growing chorus of Democrats demanding debates between the candidates on important issues.

In a mass email titled “Take Action: Maragos Ducking Debates,” Weitzman joined my initiative. This is more evidence that voters simply won’t tolerate debate ducking. I hear time and time again from voters, “When are you going to have debates?” I keep responding, "I’ll debate Tom Suozzi anywhere, anytime."  (En un correo electrónico masivo titulado "Toma Acción: Maragos Ducking Debates" Weitzman se unió a mi iniciativa. On August 1st Team Haber launched  http://suozzidebateduck.com/ , the Twitter handle @DebateDuck and we even handed out rubber ducks at a press conference to highlight Suozzi’s debate ducking. With just 19 days left until the September 10th Primary Election, I hope we have the debates Democratic voters deserve.
